Gordon runs three at Fairyhouse (pictured) but could his best chance be at Cork?
"We're hoping that the faster ground at Cork will help Discoteca – his two wins on the flat came on good to firm ground".
Gordon saddles three runners on the opening day of the Fairyhouse Easter Festival this afternoon, but perhaps his best chance of a winner lies elsewhere. Get his exclusive comments here.

His Excellency
We're stepping him up to two and a half miles for the first time and he's also taking on older horses here. It looks a pretty hot race but, as I've always said about him, he's got lots of ability and is capable of a good run. Davy Russell prefers Savello (fellow Gigginstown House-owned runner trained by Tony Martin) and so Andrew McNamara will ride him. He'll drop the horse out and hope to deliver him late. It's a tough task and if he finishes in the first four or five, we'll be delighted.

Rocky Wednesday
Like His Excellency, he's a bit of a monkey but has plenty of talent. He won his maiden on heavy ground in Down Royal at Christmas and was just touched off in a handicap at Naas in February. When he won his maiden on the flat it was fast ground but he would prefer it softer than he'll get here and he is probably facing a tough task. Davy Russell knows him well and we're just hoping for a good run from him.

Lord Redsgirth
He ran well enough on his debut over fences last month at Gowran Park but he has it all to do today. I'm not sure that's he's up to winning a beginners' chase at a big meeting such as this but hopefully there'll be other days for him.
14:05 Cork
Discoteca
He's in good order at home and we're hoping for a good run from him. He ran very well when second on his hurdling debut at Leopardstown over Christmas and he faced a couple of tough tasks in graded company afterwards. We're hoping that the faster ground at Cork will help him - his two wins on the flat came on good to firm ground. Davy Condon will ride him and we're hopeful that he should be up to going close in this company.
