Racing at Ripon gets underway at 14:10
"Dubai Dynamo, Snow Bay and Kay Gee Be are doing nothing wrong at present, but Sarrsar looked the type that would progress to listed level when successful 3 times last year."
Ripon, Yorkshire's Garden racecourse, stages this competitive one mile handicap on Sunday....
Sarrsar progressed well last year for Michael Jarvis, winning 3 of 5 starts up to 1¼m. Fitness unlikely to be an issue on this first run for Godolphin, and he could be better than this grade.
Snow Bay is a prominent racer who is in the form of his life, completed hat-trick when winning over this C&D last month. Lost nothing in defeat last time and, although 2 lb higher again here, must be considered.
Space War won over 1m at Newmarket (maiden) and Ffos Las (handicap) for John Gosden last year. Back on the up for new stable at Thirsk last month, when finishing just behind Snow Bay.
Kiwi Bay won twice over this trip at Redcar last season. Largely below form otherwise, though, and may need another outing or 2 before he hits full stride this term for all he's creeping back down weights.
Dream Lodge failed to get his head in front last season for Richard Fahey and no sign of a revival both starts for this yard. Has dropped to a tempting mark, but passed over for now.
Mr Rainbow won 7f handicap at Warwick in June and better form again when runner-up to Prime Exhibit off this mark at Wolverhampton next time. Stamina to prove on reappearance, but stable going well.
Charlie Cool, like the rest of his yard, failed to add to tally in latter stages of 2010. Finished behind a couple of these at Thirsk last time, but at least gave some indication that he's on the way back.
Amethyst Dawn was progressive when winning 4 times up to 1m last year. Working her way back to match sharpness this season, so no surprise were she to give a good account here.
Kay Gee Be ended a lengthy drought in July for William Jarvis. Made immediate impact for new stable when beating a subsequent winner at Windsor on return and lost little in defeat in hot contest last time.
Collateral Damage enjoyed a terrific second half of 2009, winning 6 times over 7f/1m. Failed to score in 2010 and handicapper is slowly relenting, so could'nt rule out despite not firing so far this year.
Greyfriarschorista did well on AW in early-2010, winning 3 times up to 1m, and improved again to go close in Britannia Stakes. Hasn't looked like recapturing that form recently, so visor now reached for.
Dubai Dynamo took advantage of a falling mark over 7f at Thirsk last month, and good effort after going back up 6 lb when second at Newcastle on Friday. As effective at this trip, and definite for shortlist.
Timeform 1-2-3
1. Sarrsar
2. Dubai Dynamo
3. Snow Bay
Timeform's View: Dubai Dynamo, Snow Bay and Kay Gee Be are doing nothing wrong at present, but Sarrsar looked the type that would progress to listed level when successful 3 times last year and can make a winning start for Godolphin.
