Romford witnessed the first three dog shootout - where will the next be?

Our inside man rounds up all the latest stories from the game

More meetings are to be scheduled between the owners of Walthamstow Stadium, the local council and Bob Morton, the man trying to buy the famous site.
Last Friday, all parties sat around the table with Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith, and L&Q chief executive David Montague heard Morton's multi-million pound plans for greyhound racing's one-time premier track.
The official line coming from L&Q is that the plans are "undeliverable" and this has angered greyhound racing's contingent, headed by Derby-winning handler Morton who has backed the Save Our Stow campaign to the hilt.
One insider said: "Bob's plans stand up, and L&Q know it. But they are trying to get the offer for the land closer to the £18m they paid for it in 2008, and this really is just a game of poker. Pressure will continue to be put on them"

Droopys Djokovic, winner of Friday's three-runner marathon shoot-out at Romford, will next appear at Wimbledon on Tuesday in a race supporting the Springbok final live on Sky.
Jim Daly's dog came of age when putting Ayamzagirl and Killishin Masai to the sword over 925m at the Essex track in front of the Sky Sports News cameras and a huge crowd on the night
He could face those rivals again at Wimbledon on Tuesday with both Ayamzagirl and Killishin Masai earmarked for the marathon on the Sky card, although the Golden Jacket also starts next week at Crayford.

The success of Friday's three-runner invitation at Romford could inspire other tracks to do the same.
Droopys Djokovic, Ayamzagirl and Killishin Masai had dead-heated live on Sky on Coronation Cup night and Romford were quick to get the trio to race against each other again.
It sparked huge media attention, from a local perspective especially, and the three greyhounds concerned could be ready to have their very own 'roadshow'.
One source said: "I'll be amazed if track managements aren't looking at getting Droopys Djokovic, Ayamzagirl and Killishin Masai to race in a three-runner challenge at their tracks.
"These are three dogs who featured in all the red-top newspapers, television and radio. People in the street were talking about the Romford triple dead-heat - it's a no-brainer."
It is understood that Yarmouth have looked at the possibility of repeating what Romford did, with both Mark Wallis (Ayamzagirl) and Jim Daly (Droopys Djokovic) based at the track.

Midway Skipper is being lined up for another crack at the Golden Jacket, which starts at Crayford on Friday week.
Henry Chalkley's evergreen bitch, whose dam Midway Tomsscout won in 2004, finished third last year and reached the semis in 2009.
Entries for the £15,000 annual are expected to flood in next week and will likely include the winners of the last two Jackets at the Kent track, Lorrys Options and Group Skater.

The 17 BAGS tracks are enjoying a higher profile of late with the BAGS/SIS 500, a series of kennel championships which are being given the red-carpet treatment by the betting shop service.
Swindon kicked off with three heats of the graded sweepstakes on Monday and have a £500-to-the-winner decider on Friday. Tracks can decide what grade to pitch the competition, and Swindon went for A3 dogs.
Next up is Romford, whose heats take place on Saturday over 400m.
