Scott went into many a notebook as a future Masters winner when finishing ninth on debut in 2002, but has never since justified that early confidence. Some might say that reflects the wider career trajectory of a man once billed as 'the next Tiger Woods', though in reality Adam is one of the most prolific winners around, with 19 worldwide titles to his name. The problem, however, is a weakness with a putter which is never likely to bode well for Augusta.
