Will Made In Time win at Newbury?

Will Made In Time win at Newbury?

"Made In Time has been supported in to [4.50] from [5.60]."

Today's Follow The Money come from the meetings at Doncaster, Kempton and Newbury.

Starting at Kempton in the 15:25 Handicap Hurdle over 3m ½ f (Class 4), Nemetan has been backed in to [4.30] from [6.40]. Nemetan last ran 467 days ago, finishing third in a Class 3 Handicap Hurdle, also at Kempton. He has switched stables since and the trainer Victor Dartnall has been in good recent form with a 30% record in the last 14 days. This is a competitive race and he is now ten-years-old. However, he is 3lb lower than he was when finishing third and is fresh today.

Over at Newbury in the 15:35 Handicap Hurdle (Class 3), Made In Time has been supported in to [4.50] from [5.60]. The six-year-old gelding has the benefit of being ridden by A P McCoy, and is making his debut off an attractive mark. He is taking a step back in trip which suggests that this may be more suitable, as he weakened two furlongs out when tackling 2m 5f last time out. This is a competitive race and punters appear to have taken the view that the drop back in trip, attractive handicap mark and AP McCoy on board have increased his chances of winning today.

Finally at Doncaster in the 15:50 Novices' Hurdle (Class 3), Vertige Dore has drifted out to [4.40] from [2.66]. Trainer Paul Nicholls has a 3-8 (38%) strike rate at Novice Hurdles at Doncaster. This looks a competitive race with little in the ratings to separate the market leaders and the six-year-old gelding only managed to finish third last time out at Kempton in a Class 4 National Hunt Race when starting 5/4 favourite. He steps up in trip today and must negotiate a rise in class and punters may feel there is better value elsewhere in the race.

Recommended bets:
Back Nemetan @ [4.30] 15:25 Kempton
Back Made in Time @ [4.50] 15:35 Newbury
Lay Vertige Dore @ [4.40] 15:50 Doncaster
