The 16th hole at Augusta

An Augusta ace is perfectly possible, but patience will be rewarded...

With just 21 aces in 74 US Masters events it should simply be a case of smashing into NO at anywhere remotely close to [2.0] in the Betfair market but that's not the case at all.

The organisers have set up a nice little sideshow from the main event lately and recent history suggests it's only a fraction over [2.0] that we'll get one on a particular hole on a particular day!

While attention is obviously fixed on who will be donning the new green jacket, patrons positioned by the par-3 16th have been entertained all day long with a very sporting pin position.

There have been seven hole-in-ones at the Masters in the last seven years, and six of them have come at the 16th on Sunday. And those of you with good memories may remember that Kenny Perry very nearly made one there in 2009 too.

The strategy will be the same as last year - either back NO, or lay YES, from the start, with the hope that there isn't one over the first three days, then back YES or lay NO after round three to guarantee a nice profit, sit back, relax and enjoy.
