Today's best bet comes from Taunton.
"Kielan Woods has struck up a good partnership with Charlie Longsdon and his claim can again prove crucial as Talenti, who was prolific on the Flat at the end of 2010, bids to win his first race in this sphere for over a year."
A couple on the Flat and one jumper for today's bets...
I Confess is a dependable sort who looks to hold strong claims in the second race on Wolverhampton's card. The David Evans-trained runner takes his racing well and should have no problem overcoming Saturday night's exertions where he finished a creditable runner-up. His main rival, Rubenstar, has enjoyed a good spell during the early part of this year, but he's still got a tendency to finish weakly and he'll struggle to get past our uncomplicated, front-running selection.
Viking Storm improved markedly when second on his recent reappearance, splitting a couple of promising types, and the strength of his finish that day suggests he's sure to be suited by this afternoon's further step up in trip. He faces nothing with the same potential as what he was up against last month, his main rival, History Girl, having shown just modest form in her three juvenile efforts and Viking Storm should be well capable of justifying favouritism.
Later this evening, not much separates the market leaders in the finale at Taunton, but Talenti, who is switching back to hurdling after a rare foray over fences, has the benefit of the excellent conditional jockey, Kielan Woods. Woods has struck up a good partnership with Charlie Longsdon and his claim can again prove crucial as Talenti, who was prolific on the Flat at the end of 2010, bids to win his first race in this sphere for over a year.
