Today's selections run at Brighton (above) and Beverley
"The Guru Of Gloom has seen steady support, coming in to [3.05] from an earlier price of [3.5]."
Today's Follow The Money come from the meetings at Brighton and Beverley.
At Brighton in the 14:30, Miss Conduct has drifted from [2.82] out to [3.35]. She wasn't fancied on debut where she was sent off 25/1 but did manage a reasonable third. The winner of that race looked good, but Miss Conduct didn't really give the impression of being anything special. Today's race looks very ordinary and won't take much winning, however with an interesting newcomer and a couple of opponents with similar form, it looks like the punters don't fancy her at short odds.
At Beverley for the 16:15, The Guru Of Gloom has seen steady support, coming in to [3.05] from an earlier price of [3.5]. Willy Muir's runner caught the eye last start when staying on steadily over seven furlongs in a stronger race than this at Newbury. He wasn't knocked about in that, and with the step back up to one mile looking like it will suit, any sort of improvement should be enough for him to end his maiden status today.
It's back to Brighton for the finale at 17:30. Bermondsey Bob has come in to [4.0] after being available at [5.3] earlier. He's returned to form with two second place finishes in his last three starts, including a front-running effort over six furlongs at Nottingham last time out. His last victory came at this track back in September and, having performed on all going types, he should have every chance of being right in the finish today.
