"With ground conditions at Bath drying out, Ninfea is fancied to return to winning ways in the ten-furlong fillies’ handicap."

Well, how do you follow the world's best racehorse confirming himself one of the greatest performers of all time on the inaugural Champions Day at one of the best racetracks on the globe?...Hopefully by backing a winner at Kempton and a couple more at Bath.

Unlike chief rival Australia Day, Street Dance looked a natural over fences when making his debut in that sphere at Fontwell earlier in the month, appearing firmly in control until his stamina gave out two fences from home and eventually finishing one-and-a-quarter lengths second to the more experience Vertige Dore. Whilst there are worries over Street Dance's tendency to race freely (which won't be a help to fellow front-runner Australia Day), the drop back in trip could negate that and he makes plenty of appeal under Richard Johnson with improvement highly likely.

The fine-furlong juvenile maiden at Bath may look like pretty standard fare at first glance but it features a horse in Exceedance whose Timeform rating has been garnished with 'P', indicating potential for significant improvement. Exceedance has had just one start so far, the form of which just modest, but it was the manner in which he achieved that four lengths second to Fulbright in a maiden at Musselburgh that was impressive, shaping like the best horse in the race before the winner's greater experience came into play. Whilst the fact Exceedance hasn't been seen since that initial outing five months ago is a slight worry, he need only repeat that level to win today and there's every likelihood that there's a lot more to come.

With ground conditions at Bath drying out, Ninfea is fancied to return to winning ways in the ten-furlong fillies' handicap. Despite taking a while to get going this season, Ninfea was almost as good as ever at Brighton last time despite looking ill at ease on the track, eventually finishing a head second of 13 to course specialist Penang Cinta. Down another 2 lb for that defeat (current BHA rating of 58, began year off 71), Ninfea looks very well treated and can provide the in-form Sylvester Kirk yard with another winner.
