From 640 starters another 2 players qualified for Vegas!

Week four of the Team Betfair WSOP trials saw a massive 640 players battling on the virtual felt to claim their place in Vegas. Two of this large field would be winning a $4k Vegas package, $1500 travelling expenses and of course the legendary Betfair hospitality.
For the second week running my tournament did not last very long. Within 30 minutes I found myself with only half of my 2012 starting chips and 88 looked a good enough hand to shovel my remaining chips into the middle. The caller's AK looked like paying me off on a blank flop but a King on the turn sealed my fate and another early exit.
By the time the first break arrived the field had been thinned down to 277 remaining players with 1essgee leading the field on an impressive 24k which was over 10k clear of the next biggest chipstack.
In the next hour players were falling left, right and centre. When the second break arrived only 108 players were still fighting for those precious Vegas packages. midr1 had now taken over the lead on 50k with early leader 1essgee still going well in second with 42k and the nearest pursuers on 35k.

Another 68 players were lost in the next hour so only 40 players were still in contention by the third break. rikinveli had now taken over the lead and had 78k in chips. zsotijja doubled up in the last hand before the break and moved onto 75k. midr1 was still running well on 70k in third and the early leader 1essgee was still in the top 10.
The tension of the game was now far more palpable and people started playing more carefully, in the next hour we only lost another 22 players and at the fourth break 18 valiant players still had a chance of going to Vegas. 7-10 suited was now the chip leader with 144k followed by CashIsKing on 135k with 3 other players holding over 100k. Our early leader 1essgee had eventually faded to finish 22nd.
After 4 hours and 35 minutes of play we finally arrived at the final table where the players and chip counts were as follows:-

The action was quite frantic as the final table started and solovyev took out the short stacked zsotijja within a few hands. It wasn't long before 7-10 suited condemned psc777 to ninth place and kolyasik8888 brutally removed UN0tInDanger when his KQ outdrew UN0t's AK after a pre flop confrontation.
chipiflautie must have thought it was going to be his night when his J6 beat CashIsKing's AA when he hit trip jacks on the river and doubled his stack. chipflautie was now on a roll and knocked out 7-10 suited and he was now second in chips with 300k. fatboy005 doubled up off kolyasik AK v AQ and then the fifth break arrived to alleviate the pressure for five minutes.

Things went quiet at this point for several orbits as nearly all players became cautious. Then suddenly we lost two players in quick succession. fatboy KO'd a now short stacked solovyev and kolyasik won a monster pot against chipiflautie AJ v KQ and now only four players remained battling for the two packages. The chips were as follows:- Kolyasik 576k, CashIsKing 336k, JJ82 203k and fatboy 177k.
It wasn't long before we were down to 3 players as kolyasik put JJ82_x in third place when his AK crushed JJ's KT. Fatboy was now short stacked but in two successive hands doubled up off each of his opponents and looked like he might make a late run but this came to an end abruptly a few hands later. He shoved all his chips in with A8 and CashIsKing called with AK and a King on the flop meant fatboy missed out and finished third.
