"Míchel González’s side have won just one of their last six, losing four of them, with their sole victory coming against 16th placed, Mallorca, where they scraped home by three goals to two."
Lay Sevilla against Betis @ 1.748/11
Sevilla are odds-on tonight for the visit of Betis in La Liga but with the away side having lost just once on the road this season, Paul Robinson thinks the hosts are worth opposing.
We couldn't quite make it 10 wins in a row yesterday as Rotherham defeated Cheltenham, but nine on the spin is a decent achievement and I hope we can get back on the winning trail today.
Sevilla are 11th in the table after picking up 15 points from their opening 11 fixtures. Míchel González's side have won just one of their last six, losing four of them, with their sole victory coming against 16th placed, Mallorca, where they scraped home by three goals to two.
The Red and Whites are much better at home however, as at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán they have suffered just the one defeat so far this season, and that came against Barcelona. The concern though is that their confidence will have been dented by recent displays and they won't be able to get the job done this evening.
Real Betis are having a magnificent campaign by their standards and they are up in fifth with 19 points from 11 matches. Pepe Mel's outfit were undefeated in four before their shock loss to Granada last time out, so they will have to bounce back tonight.
They have lost just one of their five away games so far this term, winning three of them, and they've racked up an impressive 10 goals. They thrashed Getafe last time out and if they are in the same mood today, they will cause Sevilla plenty of problems.
I'd have Sevilla as marginal favourites in my book but their odds of 1.748/11 are just too short and that's why I'm making them my lay of the day.
