If you want to see a 'fiscal cliff' take a look at the price graph on Lager Time in the 13:50 at Lingfield. The opening 10.09/1 is now a distant memory with the three-year-old now trading at 6.05/1. This is the horse's first run in a handicap and with red hot Adam Kirby (seven wins from his last 16 rides) in the saddle and the stable of David Evans amongst the winners, the omens look good.
John Lightbody has a lighter body now that he has been gelded, and the market is convinced that a more streamlined and concentrated athlete will emerge as a result. Solid support for this Mark Johnston-trained four-year-old has produced a sharp price contraction in to 3.711/4 from 7.613/2. He won well on debut as a two-year-old so the 476 day absence since his last run should not be a problem.
You wouldn't regard it as a proper drift, but the slide from 2.789/5 to 3.211/5 on Hiddon Coin is just about the only Lay we can flag up for you today. The gelding's stable is worryingly in form but the market has taken into consideration the fact that there are two live challengers in opposition (Windforpower and Hardy Red), and that the selection is making its All Weather debut.
