"Sunset Beauty is due to go up a stone for that win once reassesesed and looks very well treated in this minor event."
Three selections for Killarney and Leopardstown this Thursday
Recent Ballinrobe winner Dorset Square (15.30) is still open to plenty of improvement on the Flat for the Willie Mullins yard and is potentially well in from this revised mark despite being raised 12 lb for beating Apache Drums by an easy two lengths. Dorset Square progressed into a useful hurdler last season, rated the best of these over jumps, and the step up in trip should be right up his street given he's won over three miles.
Grand Cru (16.35) returns to hurdling on the back of two wins on the Flat for his relatively new yard and is hard to oppose in this handicap from what could be a very lenient mark. He shaped as if in need of the outing on his hurdling bow for Eoin Doyle when eighth at Sligo and is still fairly unexposed over jumps after just the six starts. The form of those two wins on the Flat looks strong, especially his Wexford success, and he should have no problem with the predicted conditions this afternoon.
The progressive Sunset Beauty (19.20) opened her account in fine style on her latest appearance and looks all set to follow up that Gowran win having been found an excellent opportunity at Leopardstown tonight. A lightly-raced sort who is on the upgrade, Sunset Beauty finished clear of the remainder when second in a Sligo maiden before running away with a handicap over this trip at Gowran only six days ago. She's due to go up a stone for that win once reassesesed and looks very well treated in this minor event.
