Will you back Olympian Boy at Hereford?
"Olympian Boy has seen significant support, moving from [6.5] into [4.4]."
Today's Follow The Money movers come from the meetings at Exeter, Hereford and Lingfield.
In Exeter's 14:50, a 2 mile 3 Handicap Hurdle, Trop Fort has been easy to back moving out from [2.90] to a current [4.0]. The five-year-old started his career in fine fashion, winning two national hunt flat races in France, but is yet to get off the mark after seven attempts over hurdles. Trainer David Pipe runs him a month since his last defeat when coming an improved second at Hereford but, as with his two wins, this was run in very soft conditions. Today's contest on good to firm ground looks much tougher and the lack of market confidence suggests a first UK win is not on the cards.
At Hereford, in the 15:10, 2 mile 3 furlong Handicap Chase, Olympian Boy has seen significant support, moving from [6.5] into [4.4]. Sophie Leech's eight-year-old gelding appears to relish today's good to firm conditions. All of his three victories have been on good ground and, with his proven ability to win after a break, plus the additional factor of having 7lb claimer Stephen Clements on board, a fourth career win is a distinct possibility.
On Lingfield's polytrack, Talbot Green has seen considerable support in the 16:00 stayers handicap over 2 miles. William Muir's four-year-old gelding is yet to get off the mark but he's halved in price to [4.2] and is still lightly raced with only his eighth start today. Although this is his first attempt at today's distance, the signs have been encouraging in his last two runs over 1 mile 5 furlongs and he may improve over a longer trip.
