Jessica Harrington: Now trains Bendzoldan

Jessica Harrington: Now trains Bendzoldan

"Benzoldan makes her debut for the Harrington yard from a mark of just 47 and warrants the utmost respect in a weak handicap".

Three selections for Dundalk this evening from Timeform's Irish team.......

Queen Grace (18:20) proved herself to be a most consistent sprinter in handicaps last season and rounded off the campaign with a deserved first success in a maiden at Wolverhampton in October. She showed clear promise on her return from five months off at today's track earlier in the month, meeting trouble and finishing with running left when fourth to An Saighdiur. She's been dropped 1 lb for that effort and looks well treated.

Jessica Harrington's stable has gone from strength to strength on the Flat in recent seasons and she looks to have taken care of a very interesting handicapper in Bendzoldan (19:20). A course-and-distance winner for Thomas Cleary in 2010, her form deteriated for that stable after that season and as a consequence she's tumbed in the weights. Bendzoldan makes her debut for the Harrington yard from a mark of just 47 and warrants the utmost respect in a weak handicap.

Tommy Carmody's Ursa Major (21:15) looked like a maiden winner waiting to happen at the track on his debut last month and is expected to put that initial experience to good use in the closing event. The expensively bought son of Galileo bumped into a useful prospect when runner-up to China One, allowing that rival first run before finishing well. That form is amongst the best on offer, and with Johnny Murtagh booked again, he looks set to take all the beating.
