Three more Timeform SmartPlays for Sunday with Bet of the Day from Musselbrugh...

Rasaman (14:50) has a fine record over Musselburgh's five furlongs with three course-and-distance victories to his name and, given his record when fresh, he looks a very good opening selection for Sunday's SmartPlays. Rasaman showed consistent form for the majority of last season for connections and he is expected to pick up where he left off this afternoon. Trainer Jim Goldie also saddles Rothesay Chancer but, on jockey bookings, Rasaman would look to be the stables number one given that Kieren Fallon will take the ride, and the pair rate as Bet of the Day material.

Ruby Crown (15:40) had excuses for a disappointing display at Leicester last time and she is taken as capable of bouncing back to winning ways this afternoon in what admittedly looks a very competitive handicap hurdle. Ruby Crown was sent off a relatively short-priced favourite last time but stopped very quickly in the straight and was eventually pulled-up. She has been given a break since and returns with her yard in solid form, Kim Bailey having trained two winners from her last two runners, and Ruby Crown could well add to that tally. The 10-year-old is Timeform top-rated for the contest and Jason Maguire will hopefully steer her to victory.

Carriglea Wood (16:05) disappointed on his latest start over fences but the heavy ground faced on that occasion is a viable excuse, and he can easily be forgiven what was a below par performance. Carriglea Wood remains lightly raced and his profile suggests he will improve for today's step up in trip. There are question marks over the majority of his rivals and Carriglea Wood looks the most likely winner of what looks a fairly weak handicap chase. Noel Fehily takes the ride aboard the six-year-old gelding, and the pair should have too much in hand this afternoon, for all that theTimeform top-rated Ballyvoneen is the likeliest danger.
