Mince marked herself as a potential Pattern-race performer with a thoroughly impressive success in the Garrowby Stakes at York...
Winner of a Listed event at Pontefract last time, the Roger Charlton-trained filly was sent off the 2-1 favourite to follow up in this six-furlong event.
James Doyle was always going well aboard the filly and when he gave the signal, Mince pulled three and a half lengths clear to score a cosy victory.
Colour Of Love and Free Zone were separated by just a neck for the minor placings.
Charlton enjoyed a Group One placing when Bated Breath claimed a fine third in the Sprint Cup at Haydock and he tweeted: "Might have replacement for Bated Breath next year with Mince whooosh!"
