Leeds United players have been celebrating frequently at Elland Road this season
"In the home dressing room, Leeds United: whose 17 games at Elland Road this season have delivered 64 goals, averaging out at 3.76 a game: the highest home average in the division by some way."
Andrew French selects his three best bets from this weekend's Championship action, including at game at Elland Road that he expects will contain plenty of goals.
Portsmouth v Sheff Utd
Have a glance at a graph that charts Portsmouth's league position during the season, and it looks like a Big Dipper that you'd not want to ride. Of course, poor old Pompey fans are used to a life of ups and downs, and so this season will have been meat and drink to them. The South Coast side began the season without a win in their first six games, then went unbeaten in seven. From Boxing Day they went nine without a victory, but are now enjoying a sequence of five straight wins. So, it's a pure form choice to back them at home to Sheffield United, who have not won a league game since December 18. That's a whopping 13 fixtures, during which time they have garnered a paltry four points. The Blades have scored just five times in nine games, not the sort of potency likely to test a Pompey defence that has not conceded a goal in nearly eight hours of football.

Leeds v Doncaster
Here's the game all Over 2.5 Goals backers have been waiting for! In the home dressing room, Leeds United: whose 17 games at Elland Road this season have delivered 64 goals, averaging out at 3.76 a game: the highest home average in the division by some way. And in the away dressing room, weighing in with a whopping 60 goals in their 17 away fixtures for a division-high away-game average of a shade over 3.5 per game. Of course, the sceptics among us will point to this being the day to back a 0-0 draw - and if you're among them, please help yourself to the [16.0] currently available to back what looks an extremely unlikely outcome given that Leeds have not had a goalless home game all season, and Donny have not played a 0-0 away. But this game will surely deliver on the goals front. Won't it?

Nottm Forest v Hull
You've got to doff your hat to Nottingham Forest's home record: 17 games unbeaten is some going in any division. But they must rue the fact that they have drawn seven of their home games this season: if just two of those draws had been victories, they would be sitting second in the table. And at home to other sides in the top half they are particularly prone to a stalemate, drawing four of seven games. Hull have drawn three of their seven games away to teams in the top half , and have generally made themselves very hard to beat on the road. They have not lost any of their last 12 away games. The two sides played out a goalless draw at the KC Stadium back in September, and both sides are among the top four in terms of teams who draw most matches.
